Veterans Service Center

Location(s): Downtown Los Angeles (Skid Row)

This is a first point of contact for homeless Veterans downtown. We assess, advocate, and make referrals to VOALA programs, the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, or other organizations, and we run support groups every day. The VSC is a day services program for homeless veterans. Our purpose and goals are to help the veterans stabilize and through our services, find housing, work, and connect with benefits.

We provide Basic Needs, available 24 hours a day including food, AA/NA support, respite and detox beds. We also provide Wrap-Around Services: three meals per day, showers, laundry, case management, classes and services to assist with benefits, job resources, housing, financial planning, computer skills training and lab, legal aid, relapse prevention, anger management, process groups, education and help with HIV/AIDS, TB, and Hepatitis, life skills, and more.
